Damn. I was going to watch the hockey final last night, but I forgot.

As soon as the internet comes back on I'm going to find a map of all the Massachusetts coastal islands. Two kids were lost out there, at sea, yesterday -- their boat capsized and they had to swim for it. One boy eventually died and the other was rescued on "Misery Island," which the paper shows to be several miles east of Salem Harbor. Among the many rocks along the Massachusetts coastline are the Dry Salvages, for which one of Eliot's Four Quartets is named. There are some neat scuba websites that describe these and many other coastal features, including many shipwrecks and their locations, conditions, and stories.
Anyway, if your boat ever capsizes, swim for shore immediately, while you're still relatively fresh and warm. If you stay with the boat you'll just get colder and colder, and unless someone rescues you, you'll definitely die.
